Day 1 :
Antananarivo - Ambohimanga
Breakfast at the hotel, your guide awaits to show you the hill of Ambohimanga, home to a fortified citadel, a royal necropolis and a series of sacred sites. Associated with a strong sense of national identity, it has retained its spiritual atmosphere and sacred character, in practice and in the minds of the population, for some 500 years. The village, which was the first capital of the Merina kingdom, remains a place of worship and pilgrimage, visited from all over Madagascar and beyond.
In the afternoon, visit the upper town of Antananarivo, another concentration of historic sites, and the market craft.
